 Kokoda Challenge

This weekend, the Aquinas College Kokoda Squad will be taking on one of the most gruelling, challenging races of all time – THE KOKODA CHALLENGE!

On Saturday and Sunday we will have 7 Aquinas College Teams (30 students and 7 AQ Staff / AQ Volunteers) trekking the Rugged 52KM Kokoda Trail through the Gold Coast Hinterland with students starting from Numinbah Valley in the morning, and progressively trekking their way through Lower & Upper Beechmont, Clagiraba, Mount Nathan and finally finishing at the Nerang Velodrome.

This year, Aquinas will be contesting the Jim Stillman Schools Cup 52km Event (Beginning at 11:00am). Provided we have no injuries and all teams remain strong throughout the race; the majority of our teams should cross the finish line somewhere between 8:30pm – 2am on Saturday night / Sunday morning. It's a long day, but we are incredibly excited and have been training for 6 long months in preparation for the event. It all comes down to Saturday!
